Bastian Schweinsteiger posts message about Paris and Beirut terror attacks on Twitter

Bastian Schweinsteiger played the full 90 minutes at the Stade de France on Friday after a truly crazy day.

Things started oddly for the German national team on game day against the French, when they were evacuated from the Molitor hotel in the centre of the French capital after a bomb threat.

The 2014 World Cup winners left the hotel at around 11 am and they were driven to the Roland-Garros compound by coach.

Later on, as the match against the French was underway, three suicide bombers blew themselves up outside the stadium.

Manchester United midfielder Schweinsteiger has taken to social media on Sunday to express his thoughts on this weekend’s terror attacks.

Schweinsteiger also made reference to last week’s suicide bombings in Beirut, Lebanon, which killed 41 people.

The Germans are due to play Holland this week in a friendly, however the fixture remains in doubt following this weekend’s events in France.
